Core Touch For Health Classes

 

Touch for Health Level 1

Prerequisite: none

Length: 15/16 hours

Touch for Health Level 1 is for laypeople and health professionals. You will learn the art of muscle testing and the basic procedure to balance the body’s muscles and acupuncture meridians as presented in Dr. John Thie’s book, Touch for Health.

You will learn:

  • To increase your energy level
  • Reduce stress and pain
  • Increase mental clarity
  • Enhance immune system function

The basic balancing system includes:

  • How to test and correct 14 muscles/meridians, including the spinal reflexes, neurolymphatic reflexes, neurovascular points, and meridians
  • You will learn how to assess nutritional support for the muscles
  • How to effectively reduce emotional stress and pain by touch

Touch For Health Level 2

Prerequisite: Touch For Health Level 1

Length: 15/16 hours

Touch for Health Level 2 builds on the skills taught in level 1. Learn 14 new muscle tests and additional corrections especially helpful for back pain, strengthening the core muscles, assessing the legs and neck.

The new techniques and concepts presented in Touch For Health Level 2 are:

  • Circuit Locating, which helps identify the body’s preference for
    balancing technique
  • Alarm Points for over-energy detection
  • The Meridian Wheel and Time of Day Balance
  • Five Elements theory
  • Three self-balancing techniques
  • Additional pain control skills and short cuts to improve efficiency

Touch For Health Level 3

Prerequisites: Touch For Health Levels 1 & 2

Length: 15/16 hours

Touch for Health Level 3 goes further in depth with the application of the Five Elements Theory in balancing skills using color and emotions.

  • You will experience how balancing with goals and emotions brings results that are much deeper and longer lasting
  • Another 14 additional muscles will be taught
  • You will learn about pain tapping, gait testing and acupressure holding points
  • Chronic muscle problems will be addressed by the Reactive Muscle correction that clears long-standing patterns quickly and permanently in most cases

Touch For Health Level 4

Prerequisites: Touch For Health Levels 1, 2 & 3

Length: 15/16 hours

This course

  • SynthesisReviews the 42 muscle balance expanding how to test all muscles both standing and laying
  • Learn the Tibetan Figure 8 Energy technique
  • How to effectively release traumatic muscle memory through the postural stress release method
  • You will also be shown how to prioritize and utilize all the skills in the TFH system in an easy, practical format

The Touch for Health® Kinesiology Synthesis (Level 1-4)

Prerequisites: None

Length: 60/64 hours

The TFH Synthesis includes a 60/64 classroom hours to cover levels 1-4, usually taught over 4 weekends or a week long intensive. The class will provide practical, hands-on experience in the TFH system of postural, energetic and mental/ emotional balancing. A certificate of attendance is provided for participants in levels 1-4, from the International Kinesiology College, which is the only authorized worldwide organization responsible for curriculum and standards of Touch for Health®.

Touch For Health Advanced Goal Setting & Metaphors

From finding an emotion related to a goal, to balancing energy by making expressive sounds or combining color visualization with Emotional Stress Release points, the standard TFH protocol provides us with a variety of options that can be dynamically incorporated into our balancing sessions.

Techniques and concepts taught:

  • Using Supportive Dialogue, Positive Goal-Setting and Creative Visualization, you will learn to access mental/emotional and sensory/associative aspects of memory, posture & energy to make your TFH balancing more profound, effective and meaningful
  • Efficiently utilize the 111 metaphors in the new TFH Pocketbook with Chinese 5 Element Metaphors to feel better and to gain new insight and enthusiasm for your life

Touch For Health Proficiency Skills Review

Length: 15/16 Hours

Prerequisites: Touch for Health Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 and  a minimum total of 20 documented practice balancing sessions using Level 1-4 balancing techniques (or prior Instructor Cert.)

In this 2-day class you will work with other students who have completed the TFH Synthesis (1-4) as well as current TFH Instructors updating their skills

The Proficiency workshop confirms your practical TFH skills and theoretical knowledge, including written and practical assessments. Students are encouraged to use their TFH book for the assessments. The Certificate of Proficiency from the International Kinesiology College is issued upon successful completion of the assessment.

  • Students will review all the TFH 1 – 4 techniques and 42 muscle tests.
  • This class is a pre-requisite for those who wish to take the TFH Instructor Training Workshop (ITW).
  • It also is for TFH instructors to take as an update requirement three years after completing their Instructor Training Workshop (ITW)
  • This workshop can be taken by any student who has taken TFH levels 1 thru 4 as a review class.
  • Upon successful completion of the TFH 1 thru 4 classes and Proficiency Assessment, students continue to the TFH Instructor Training Workshop for greater depth, advanced practice, and IKC Instructor/Consultant certification.

Touch For Health Instructor Training Workshop

Prerequisites: Touch For Health Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4, Proficiency Skills Workshop and Proficiency Assessment 

Length: 60/64 hours

This course prepares you to become an instructor by fine tuning your TFH techniques and training you in presentation skills, marketing strategies, teaching tips and logistics.You will review all aspects of your TFH training and learn new skills for teaching and presenting TFH.

  • You will learn effective presentation skills and gain confidence in using
    and presenting TFH techniques in front of groups and students.
  • This training will help enhance your skills and increase your success in communicating with your future students and those interested in learning more about TFH.

Upon completion of the ITW course

  • You will be certified by the International Kinesiology College (IKC) to teach Touch For Health courses.
  • Upon becoming a Professional Member of TFHKA, and remaining current, you will be able to award IKC credits and TFHKA sponsored CE credits.

Designed for TFH Instructors who wish to teach TFH Metaphors workshop. Many avid students of TFH attend this course to deepen their knowledge of TFH, Effective Communication & Dialogue for Goal Setting, and exploring Metaphors to deepen self-knowledge and effectiveness of TFH balancing.
